Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI with English Patch (PC)
Rediscover an ancient civilization with an explosive history in the eleventh edition of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Based on the 120 chapter novel that recounts the near collapse of China at the end of the Han Dynasty and the fateful events that followed during the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D., the game features an artistic style evocative of classical Chinese ink- paintings, with debates and duels now rendered in real-time 3D animation. Players will need to dig deep within to prove themselves adept at both the military and political arts in order to bring China under one rule. More than 40 base commands give players the power to govern cities, manage their personnel, practice diplomacy, and much more.
Instructions: Download all archives of Sangokushi to the same folder then open the first one using winrar (winrar can be found on the site this game was uploaded for [nyu-anime.blogspot.com])or 7zip and you should extract the contents. Mount the install file using daemon or something (you could burn the files to disc if you wanted instead) then run the installer, although it is not in English you just have to click next through it, once the install process gets to files with name along lines of movie02 you should mount the game file the installion will continue and finish.
Although one can play the game without the expansion installed alot of translation patches are designed for Sangokushi with the expansion installed.
Once you have downlaoded all the archives for the Powerup Kit (expansion) to the same folder repeat the process of extracting the content of the archives.
This time you have an installer file so no need to mount, run the file, do not worry if it is slow for abit, it is still processing. When it starts up it will promt you for the fodler where you installed Sangokushi11, be something like cpogram filesKoeiSan11 or wherever you choose.
ventually it will promt you for a language to choose from, you have three choices, top being Chinese, middle also being Chinese and bottom being Japanese. Unless you are literate in one of the languages it does not matter what you pick (if you are literate in chinese or Japanese then pick your preference) as you will use the English patch so just pick the first option.
When the installation complete if you want to play in English then open the Cao Shang .5 english translaton pach that you will have got lik from this post and downloaded, place it in the install directory of Sangokushi which maybe CProgram files KoeiSan11 or whatever you selected then simply use that to play the game from now on instead of the normal game exe.
This patch seems to be the best currently out compared to the others, it translates the menus neara ll of the ingame text with barely anything being missing however one should note that the grammer is not great and some other minor things so not perfect English. The game is fully playable though and goals understandable, and will probaly improve in later translation patch releases.

The resolutions that can be selected will depend on your PC’s specifications. Resolutions that cannot be selected from a Windows settings screen cannot be selected for the game. Resolution options can be viewed in Start- Control Panel- Display- Settings. If you are using an NVIDIA video card, the resolution can be changed by going to NVIDIA Settings-Resolution.
Troubleshooting measures are ineffective with some hardware and software environments. If the following procedures do not fix the problem, please contact KOEI Customer Support. Any settings changes for hardware or peripherals or driver updates are the sole responsibility of the user.
Terms and operational procedures are based on standard Windows XP settings. If you are using Windows Vista, icon and button names may differ.
Trouble installing the game
* If a virus checker or other resident applications are running, close these applications and try installing again.
The game runs slowly.
* Confirm that the system requirements for this product are met. Please see the System Checker section for additional information.
* You can set up your game environment by selecting [OPTIONS] from the Main Menu. Depending on your settings, your computer may slow down.
Graphics and Video Card: There are graphical problems, such as animation issues, errors with dynamic shadows, freezing, etc.
* This game contains 3D graphics. In order to use all functions effectively, you must have hardware acceleration that supports 3D graphics. Confirm with your hardware manufacturer whether your video card supports hardware graphics acceleration.

* You may be using older video card drivers. Please contact your video card manufacturer and get the latest drivers for your card. If that doesn’t work, your hardware may be incompatible with the product.

* Another cause of freezing might be an error with your hard drive. Audio, Movie Playback and Sound Card
* First, you should see if updated drivers for your soundcard are available. Contact your sound card manufacturer to get the latest drivers. Also, you should make sure to update your chipset (motherboard) drivers if possible.
* If that doesn’t help, you can try lowering the acceleration level of your sound card by changing the “Hardware Acceleration” option from “Full” to “None.” You can do this by accessing the following:
