Agent of the Interpol Larissa Svetlov investigates a strange business about abduction of pictures from the Hermitage. Gradually she understands that so confused crime cannot be opened without attraction to a consequence of the one who trades in thefts of subjects of art and has communications in the criminal world. Max gets to the trap placed by militia - the thief, and in combination, the seller stolen.
